Looking for experienced leader.
Individual will be responsible for the performance of all despatch functions as measured by core metrics : Quality, Customer Service, Safety, Pperformance & People Development.
Role will report into Head of Manufacturing.
To co-ordinate the receipt of customer orders from admin department, to assembly of orders from production, and to oversee their despatch from the premises, ensuring all required specifications are achieved.
Lead & supervise the despatch team end to end.
Ensuring team is efficient and productive in job roles and orders are picked correctly and efficiently.
Area ownership – capacity/volume, Succession planning, process control, housekeeping, flow, stock, Customer accounts, Safety.
Get involved/ spear head continuous improvement activity within your area
People management / training and issue resolution under guide of HR Manager
Reporting on departments performance to agreed targets
Sites adherence to Mallon’s safety & quality standards in department
Stock ownership – acceptance, accuracy, feedback to Admin team/ Head of Operations Manager
Lead & manage staff to deliver on Core KPIs of quality, safety and customer specifications
Transport Logistics knowledge/ warehouse management
Leadership, supervisory skills
Interpersonal & business management skills.
Training, mentoring and people development skills
KPI / Target driven
Fork-lift license / Pallet Truck license extremely desirable
2-3 years Supervisor/ Leadership experience Despatch department
Scanning / good knowledge of IT systems
Continuous Improvement Initiatives in department
Adherence to Lean Operations deliverables by head of Operations
