Quality Assurance Officer

Responsible for the prevention of release of finished product in breach of food safety, quality and legality guidelines. To ensure that all aspects of Quality Assurance Standards are adhered to. Production of safe, legal and top quality products at all times

Core Responsibilities
– Compliance with various food safety standards and legal requirements
– Act on all Food Safety & Quality matters pertaining to the Company products and
services both internally and externally.
– Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of product and / or service non
– Identify and record any product and / or service quality or food safety problems.
– Maintenance, verification, and filing of daily Quality records.
– Development and maintenance of the food safety system inclusive of SOP’s, Quality
and HACCP Manuals.
– Ensuring staff are operating in accordance with site SOP’s.
– Sampling collection for external micro lab and analysis, trending of results
– Verification of Traceability.
– Observation of product presentation in line with end product specifications.
– Ensuring staff compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
– Reporting to supplier of any non conformances.
– Risk assessments.
– Internal auditing.
– Validation of the HACCP plan & participation in HACCP team.
– To liase with Quality Manager on quality issues that may arise.
