The Annual Health, Safety & Wellbeing Week at Mallons

What’s it all about?

At Mallon’s Foods, creating a safe, supportive and positive workplace is incredibly important to us. That’s why every year we take the opportunity to focus on the wellbeing of our teams through our dedicated Health, Safety & Wellbeing Week.

The week was designed to encourage conversations around physical health, mental wellbeing and workplace safety, while also giving everyone the chance to take a step back from the day-to-day and enjoy some fun activities together.

A snapshot of our week

We kicked off the week with our annual Spinathon Challenge in support of our charity partner, Crocus Monaghan Cancer Support Centre. The atmosphere across the site was fantastic, with teams showing incredible energy, encouragement and team spirit throughout the day.

On Tuesday, we welcomed Judith Greene Mindfulness, who delivered an insightful session focused on mindfulness and the importance of taking time to prioritize our mental wellbeing.

Wednesday brought a podcast-style wellbeing session with Marie McEnroe from Healthy Wins, where staff heard practical advice and open conversations around healthy habits, balance and overall wellbeing.

We were also delighted to welcome the Road Safety Authority (RSA) on Thursday to share important road safety advice and reinforce the importance of staying safe both at work and on the roads.

To finish the week on a high, Friday was all about enjoying each other’s company, with an ice cream van onsite giving everyone the chance to relax and celebrate a successful week together.

Alongside the main events, staff also enjoyed healthy juice shots, wellbeing initiatives and daily engagement activities throughout the week.

Togetherness

Togetherness as a value sits at the heart of everything we do, and Health, Safety & Wellbeing Week was a powerful reminder of how much stronger we are when we look after ourselves and each other.

Thank you to everyone who took part, supported colleagues, and helped make the week such a meaningful success. Your commitment to showing up for one another truly reflects the spirit of our community.
