Cooking Instructions

Pickle the onion

Stir the rice vinegar, sugar and salt together until dissolved. Add the sliced red onion and leave for at least 10 minutes while you cook.

Cook the pork bites

Cook the BBQ Pork Bites with their sauce according to the pack instructions until piping hot and cooked through.

Steam the bao

Heat the bao buns according to the pack instructions until soft and fluffy.

To serve

Open each bao and fill with 2 pork bites. Spoon over the BBQ sauce from the pack, then top with pickled red onion, spring onion, chilli and coriander. Finish with a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds.

Tip

Bao buns are sold chilled or frozen in larger supermarkets and Asian grocers. If you can’t find them, soft brioche sliders work well.
